The top row here is new, added to fill out the page for publication.

Apparently Claire is the Fine-Time Fontaine fan. (Say that ten times fast.)

Camille is going to regret messing with Claire.

Yeah, he wasn’t wearing it yesterday because he took it off today.

Like I said yesterday, this page and yesterday’s originally ran in the opposite order, but got swapped here for some reason. That’s why they’re just getting out of the truck in the first panel of today’s, even though they were already at the scrapyard yesterday. And why Grandpa Joe’s green coat, which he wasn’t wearing yesterday, has magically reappeared, only to be taken off again.

These pages got shuffled around. This was the July 29th, 2014 strip. The page we’ll see tomorrow was the July 28th strip.

Grandpa Joe’s method of heckling public officials is more subtle than Amy’s.

This page originally had a half-height middle row that depicted Lauren’s arms stretching out Mr. Fantastic-style to seize Jack. It got deleted, presumably to make the strip fit the page format for publication, and the lower left panel was redrawn to give Lauren a more subtle approach.

Note that Lauren’s in the same pose in panel 5 as in panel 4.

Next you’ll be telling us that Tredregyn is fictional. And then what, Sheffield, where Lottie and Claire are living now? London? Is all of England a figment of John Allison’s imagination?

It’s a skateboarding trick where you slide along a rail or similar obstacle on one of the trucks with the board at an angle, generally performed by leaping up, crashing into the wall, and falling down while your board flies off the other direction.

I’m not sure if it’s actually possible to do it with a motorcycle, or if this is meant to be a hint that Leila’s maybe not all she’s claiming to be.

This was originally just a single-row strip. The top row was added to fill out the page for publication.
