Since cats are four-legged, their normal posture has their legs, belly, and chins as “bottom half”. That’s sorta how he planted himself at the end of his fall, so Satchel’s comment makes sense (but it would have been true no matter how Bucky landed… some part of him would have been his “bottom half” and taken the impact)
Admittedly, Bucky’s usual stance is more meercat then cat.
