I grind my axe next to yours. When one desires no longer to participate, one ceases to participate. Let me know when you tire.

Statistically speaking, most jobs are more dangerous than that of the police. They commonly rank 16th among professions. Children aren’t a profession so statistically, it is invalid to compare them to police officers.

There is your “relevance”. Did you want to compare the death rates of May Flies to Police officers next? Love to see the statistics you drum up on that.

In my family, she would get it every year over and over again just for the fun of it. We might even rotate who gives it to her each year just to enliven the game.

Sadly, the trend of fatal police shootings in the United States seems to only be increasing, with a total 707 civilians having been shot, 124 of whom were Black, as of October 23, 2023. In 2022, there were 1,097 fatal police shootings. Additionally, the rate of fatal police shootings among Black Americans was much higher than that for any other ethnicity, standing at 5.7 fatal shootings per million of the population per year between 2015 and October 2023.

I DO belittle those who make comparisons of the deaths of anyone to the deaths of or by police as an argument of any kind.

Police are too well protected from their ignominy in our society both by reputation and the legal system.

    Children deserve better protection.

Those days when dark started and ended a need to be safely incarcerated by others’ sense of responsibility and the light of one’s world was free for fantastical discovery.

Every time I see a discussion of free will I wonder if other kinds of will differ from free. And what exactly is will anyway and when is it free or not free?

    Cookies and milk time!!!

Giving is up to the giver. Getting is another thing altogether. Just because you don’t celebrate the holiday with the same name as some others doesn’t prevent others from giving to you under whatever silly name they want to.

A comma actually, but who really cares, right?

SCOTUS needs a rework, for sure. Your suggestion I have never considered does seem useful.

They should be gone by 72 at the latest.

They should be gone immediately if they take any gifts or have any business relationships, even stocks, with anyone who comes before their court.

They should be gone the first time they counter the statements they made as they pursued the position.
