I'm busy with too many things, so Dick Tracy is the only strip I read regularly these days.

    Good morning™, everyone!

Even back at the Choate Club in her usual spot, where she ought to relax, Libris seems stressed out, the way her hand shakes as she strangles her napkin.

Lord Flatulence is right. I was referring to the way the shadows and highlights make it look like Lizz has a Starfleet emblem on her top. I said Uhura merely because she was the only female senior officer on the original U.S.S. Enterprise.

    Good morning™, all!

So, do you think Libris practices fencing at the gym or does she just store that case there so that it’s locked away from investigators? She looks pretty grouchy. Maybe she is feeling the pressure.

Lizz seems to be channeling Lt. Uhura in the first panel, but it’s just a shadow.

The chances of a guest writer suddenly writing a story featuring Putty Puss are pretty low.

It’s always been like that. Some papers only carry Sundays, some carry all but Sundays, some omit Saturdays and Sundays. You have to be also to follow the story by only reading Sundays, but you do miss a lot of details.

This is just a temporary guest writer. After that we shoulf be back to the normal one.

I’ve seen plenty of evidence over the last few years that GoComics readers also need this kind of recap. Often, Mike Curtis uses obscure stuff that people don’t even notice that are crucial for the story to make any kind of sense. He seldom recaps them and references them weeks later sometimes.

It was never stated that she’s a fencer and Tracy doesn’t know that. Some of us readers figured it out because a few of us recognized the quotation in French beside her yearbook photo as referring to fencing.

    Good morning™, everyone!

This is a great reminder and reinforcer for those readers who missed the strip about the triangular cross-section, or have forgotten that detail. This is exactly what Mike Curtis needs to do more of so we do not miss important details. They don’t yet know that Ms. Libris’s Olympic sport was fencing, but they are accumulating clues that will lead them in that direction.

Ray Toler has confirmed that it does.
