    _“The wheel of death

    Goes spinning around

Will the arrow point my way?

    Will this be my day?

    .

While the wheel is spinning, spinning, spinning

I’ll not dream of winning, fortune or even fame

While the wheel is turning, turning, turning

    I’ll be yearning, yearning

    For death’s precious flame”_

    It’s a Canadian thing, eh?

I think that this is somewhat of a cultural thing. In many parts of the world homes are multi-generational, with grandparents, parents, and children all living under the same roof. It’s no disgrace to young singles – or even young married couples – to still be living in their parents home. The fact that they are expected to contribute to running and maintaining that home and assisting their parents goes without saying!

You mean they don’t call him Handy Andy?

A little historical note … back in the Dark Ages, when I was a little boy, they had a kid’s tool set called the Handy Andy Tool Kit. I was thrilled when I got one for Christmas!

There was an American movie made back in 1934 starring Will Rogers entitled Handy Andy ( Actually, a little Wikipedia investigation informed me that there was a British silent film with the same title made in 1921). There was also a Handy Andy comic strip in the British comic Krazy and way back in 1841, someone wrote a book called Handy Andy ( which I’ve yet to find, let alone read. )

Good to know all is relatively tranquil at the Goat Ranch in Cow-low-raid-o.

Been so many years away from the fluffy white stuff, I’ve forgotten what it’s like to have to live in it for several months a year and I’m too d@mn old to go skiing anymore!

A linguist perhaps would not, but a word absurdist with the nom de guerre of Linguist, might have … just to confound, confuse, abuse, and obfuscate.

You are all seeing a completely different picture posted than I have. Does anyone else have the painting by Stuart Davis of the man painting and Egyptian mural?

Sol, you must be looking at a different picture than I am. My TiP by British artist Stuart B. Davis shows a pseudo-Egyptian guy painting a mural while two women criticize and want to change the blueprint.

Nothing can get between a man and his chair … even nothingness.
