   When I was a kid, the tree never went up before my birthday onthe 10th. My parents didn’t want to take that away from me.We’re gone most Christmases so don’t put up a tree any more.

   My sister used to live in SF and then Marin county for years and complained about it back then. She’s in PA now and it’s not so bad. I grew up in Oceanside then moved down to SD county until I retired in 2004 and moved to southern UT. I used to complain about SDG&E in San Diego. I have to admit – heating and cooling costs are very reasonable here. Cable, on the other hand, is ridiculous! Talk about a monopoly!

   Thanks! That’s Casper. He was a shelter/fostered cat from 2005 and long gone now. We saw his sisters’ picture in the paper and drove 40 miles north to see her. The foster dad said they were a pair. Lots of people wanted him but not her. We didn’t care – we took both.
